Re: Things to do
I'm wondering if you are considering implementing a desk band for the taskbar? In other words, inserting a search box on the taskbar similar to what Windows XP Search 4 used to offer? Aside from this, Everything completely addresses my needs at this point.

Re: So development stalled...
I agree, its a major disappointment that David went MIA. I check in from time to time, but haven't seen him respond to anyone in ages, let alone update the application. It's been almost two years since he responded to my post about working on the program. Quickly frankly, I wonder if something serio...

Re: Any new version after 1.21.452a?
After almost 2 and 1/2 years without an update, sadly enough, I think it may be safe to say this project has reached the end of its probable development cycle, despite the author's best intentions. Perhaps, I will be proven wrong (gladly so), but personally, I'm not going to hold my breath any longer.

Re: I can't find anything on some folders
I just ran into this same problem. Never happened to me before. I couldn't search for anything in my Dropbox folder. As you mention, once I rebuilt the database, I was able to do so again.

Re: "Everything" version 1.2.1.451a
I'm wondering if this app is still being developed. It's been over 5 months since the last alpha release, so I just want to check, since I really like Everything and hope it will continue to be improved.

Figured out the problem. I've been searching folders that were hardlinks.

Re: "Everything" version 1.2.1.451a
Unfortunately, I switched the highlighted parameter to 1, but still no go. After restarting Everything, I went back into the .ini file to confirm that the parameter's value was still 1. This was the case. This issue is occurring on both my Windows XP and 7 machines.

Re: "Everything" version 1.2.1.451a
Thanks for your help deepdvd. Unfortunately, even after deleting the .ini and .db files, I still can't search folder paths. I even checked to make sure the Match Path option was selected, and it does have a check mark.

Re: "Everything" version 1.2.1.451a
Thank you for your help. I've been experiencing an issue with Everything, since I installed the latest alpha. However, I'm not sure if it's a result of installing the latest alpha or my changing a setting after installing the latest build. When I try to search for a file in a folder on my hard drive...

Deskband availability
I'm wondering if you can provide an estimate of when the deskband you're developing may become available. I noticed on the following webpage (http://www.voidtools.com/Everything/wiki/IPC) it says "A Deskband using Everything IPC is almost complete," but this page was last updated in March....

How to use IPC SDK?
I read the following webpage on the IPC application, but it's not clear to me how to install the files that come with the download, or how I can use the IPC functionality. I understand that a new deskband is under development. Will more instructions on how to use the IPC files be provided when the d...

Re: How to search mapped network drives?
I'd like to set this up as well. The computer I would be searching from is connected to the mapped drive's network. Do you think setting this up would cause me any grief with my IT administrator? What about if I set it up on a computer that would be connecting via VPN?
Thanks for your help!

Open prior search
Is it possible to have Everything show the previous search when reopened? Sometimes I end up searching for the same file multiple times in a row, and it would be great if I didn't have to retype the name of the file each time.
