New Window Not Working
I have Version 1.4.1.935 (x64) on a Windows 10 machine. Under Options / UI both Create a new window from the system tray and Create a new window when running Everything are checked. Yet, if I have a window open and click the icon in the task bar the existing window either closes or opens. Can I get ...

Search doesn't work like it used to
It seems I used to be able to type any part of any word in the file name in any order including the extension and it would find the files. This made it real easy to limit my search to say .doc* or .ppt* files - especially when I could only remember part of the file name. Now it seems it only finds n...

Re: Does Everything work with Google Drive File Stream
Thanks. I haven't actually installed Drive File Stream yet. I'm trying to decide whether I should install it OR use the alternative, Backup & Sync. The ability to work with Everything Search is a key part of my decision.

Re: Does Everything work with Google Drive File Stream
I have no choice. They will discontinue Google drive. I can use either drive file stream or something called backup and sync.

Does Everything work with Google Drive File Stream
I currently use Google drive on a windows 10 machine. Google is discontinuing the drive app and wants me to upgrade to Drive File Stream where the drive folder appears as a separate hard drive on my machine. Will that screw up Everything Search? I realize I'll have to include it and rebuild the inde...

Can Everything search Google Drive?
I've downloaded a Google Drive directory to my windows machine so the files and folders there sync to my Google Drive account in the cloud. It's similar to DropBox. I've added that directory to Everything index as an INCLUDE. But it doesn't seem to work like the Dropbox one does.
Any ideas?

Re: Slow Start in Windows 7
Things seem to be working faster for me now - I can't see it reindexing. Don't know why or what made the change but I'm glad it's back the way it was working.

Re: Slow Start in Windows 7
Thanks for the insight. My journal maximum was already set to that number.
I didn't have this problem when running under vista. Is there anything about the change to Windows 7 that would cause persistent re-indexing? And is there some setting in the OS I can change to stop it?

Slow Start in Windows 7
I just upgraded to windows 7 from vista and now when I start the program for the first time after a reboot it takes a long time (like 60 or 90 seconds) before the files come up - even before I type anything in the search bar. After that it comes up instantly. In Vista it always came up instantly. Is...
